Venture Plastics Ramps Up Capacity For New and Expected Growth
Newton Falls, OHIO --- Venture Plastics, Inc., a full-service, ISO/TS-16949 certified custom thermoplastic injection molder, has recently invested approximately $600,000 in new injection molding machines for its two processing facilities in Newton Falls, Ohio and El Paso, Texas. The company has also hired an additional Production Manager.
According to Venture president, Steve Trapp: "Our recent capacity and personnel expansions have been driven by a significant amount of new business acquired during the second and third quarters of 2009, but also by additional production activity that will be scheduled in the near future. We are currently operating 3 full shifts 5-6 days a week and are dedicated to supporting the expertise of our processing professionals with new molding equipment that provides for the growing needs of our customers."
Specifically, at its 45,000 square-foot facility in Newton Falls, Venture Plastics has added:
-2009 Arburg 520A All Drive 165 ton electric servo horizontal molding machine with Mulitlift robot, Injection units 8.2 oz and 2.5 oz,Tie bar 20.47 x 20.47, Double core pull
-2009 Arburg 570A AllDrive 220 ton electric servo horizontal molding machine, Injection unit 15.3 oz, Tie bar 22.4 x 22.4,Single core pull
-2004 Mitsubishi 390MJ hydraulic ram, horizontal molding machine, Injection unit 36 oz, Tie bar 29.6 x 29.6, Double core pull
All new systems will be complimented with RJG EDarts for process control and monitoring.
At its 48,000 square foot Southwest Venture Plastics facility in El Paso, the company has added:
- 2009 Toyo Electric SI-150IV 150 Ton , Injection unit 8.91 oz, Tie Bar 20.07 X 18.11
In additional to capital expenditures, Venture has also made an heavy investment in their personnel. They exceeded over $50K in 2009 in training for RJG(RJG has long been a leader in processing training in the US) and lean/green plant initiatives.
Additionally, Southwest Venture Plastics has announced that Joe Ortiz will be its new Production Manager. Mr. Ortiz provides more than 14 years of experience in hands-on capabilities in all areas of the plastic injection molding manufacturing process and is a certified Master Molder III.
Since its founding, 40 years ago, Venture Plastics has grown dramatically and today provides manufacturing services that include injection molding and structural foam molding, over-molding, insert molding, and gas-assist molding --- all backed by engineering and design support and project management. Value-added processes include a wide variety of assembly, painting and decorating, and packaging expertise. Between its two facilities Venture Plastics offers a wide range of injection molding machines (55 ton to 725 ton), giving it the capability of serving a diversified customer base that includes, but is not limited to, the major markets of industrial/consumer, major appliance, truck/agriculture, automotive, fuel delivery, and communications.
